KUALA LUMPUR — Jan. 20, 2020: PKR vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin is adamant that she was being truthful when she criticised party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim last month.

Insisting that she had done nothing wrong, Zuraida, who is also the Housing and Local Government Minister, confirmed that she had received a show-cause letter on this from the party.

“I stick by what I said at the Renaissance Hotel (last month) because that is the truth, ” she said, adding that she has been given 14 days to respond to the show-cause letter dated January 15.

The Ampang MP believes that the board will make a fair judgement without undue influence from the leadership.

Zuraida, who was met after distributing mandarin oranges at two markets in Ampang yesterday in conjunction with Chinese New Year, also brushed off the call by 10 state PKR chiefs for her sacking.

“They are not of my standard, ” she quipped.

Last December 8 Zuraida told a dinner gathering that Anwar had tried to convince her his deputy Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, a Zuraida ally, was one of the men featured in a sex video last year.

The gathering was organised by Azmin after those aligned to him boycotted the final day of the party’s national congress in Melaka.
