IPOH — May 10, 2018: Perak Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Dr. Zambry Abd. Kadir has claimed that the coalition has enough seats to form the next state government.
In a statement today, the man who was mentri besar until midnight Tuesday said he would meet the Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Shah to seek royal consent.
The statement was read out by the Mentri Besar’s Office media and communications director, Nizamuddin Mat Isa, at a press conference here tonight.
Perak has yet to form the new government as none of the parties which contested in the general elections yesterday had a simple majority of 30 state seats.
Pakatan Harapan, which comprises PKR, DAP, PPBM and Amanah, won 29 seats, BN 27 and PAS three. — Bernama
