KUALA LUMPUR — September 5, 2017: Some new and flashy motorcycles are in town, following a makeover of the original models of the best selling Street Triple introduced in 2007.

The new variants from Triumph Motorcycles Ltd., a British outfit, are the Triumph Street Triple S, R (Low Ride Height (LRH)) and RS Street Triple.

Datuk Razak Al-Malique Hussain, chief operating officer of distributor Fast Bike, said the new machines offer practicality for those looking for a daily ride or performance for weekend rides at the race track.

The designs of the new variants have been updated with all-new bodywork meant to achieve the perfect balance of looks and practicality, such as the gull wing rear swing arm that is specifically designed for maximum high speed stability and the LED daytime running light in the R and RS variant said to be 28 times brighter than before.

An all-new 5-inch thin-film-transistor instrument cluster is also introduced on the R and RS variants and is said to be one of the most advanced in the industry.

Powering this new range is a bigger but lighter 765cc engine derived from the Triumph Daytona 675cc.

Power is managed by an intelligent engine control unit that offers up to five riding modes. Street triple S comes with two riding modes, namely Rain and Road, R variant adds two more modes which are sport and rider programmable. The RS features track mode in addition to those found in Street Triple R.

The Triumph Street Triple S is priced at RM52, 900.

The LRH makes it more accessible to those who prefer a lower ride. It comes with its own suspension and seat setup. The naked bike comes in three colours and is priced at RM59, 900.

The range-topping RS is priced at RM66, 900.
