Three more MBSA officers remanded over Sungai Buloh protection racket

PUTRAJAYA — Aug. 14, 2020: Another three enforcement officers with the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) have been remanded for six days from today for allegedly collecting bribes to protect illegal businesses in Sungai Buloh. 

They were detained at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission headquarters here yesterday after they had given their statements.

So far eight MBSA officers and a trader have been remanded in connection with the case.

An investigation was triggered after two videos showing the presence of illegal gambling activities went viral recently.
