KUALA LUMPUR — Feb. 28, 2020: Attorney-General Tan Sri Tommy Thomas has resigned amidst the country’s political impasse following the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan ruling coalition on Monday.

Various news outlets said Thomas handed in his letter to interim Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad today.

Thomas was recommended to be appointed by Mahathir after the May 9, 2018 general elections, for two years ending this June.
