KUALA LUMPUR – January 20, 2016: The annual Bumiputera Entrepreneurs Start-up Scheme Business Pitch (Superb BizPitch) organised by the Bumiputera Agenda Steering Unit (Teraju) is back, and better than ever.

Entering its fourth year, Teraju had decided to shake things up a bit in seeking the most innovative business idea.

This time, applicants will be given the opportunity to upload their proposals and presentations via video.

Although the application period will be opened throughout the year, there will be three closing dates namely May 3rd, August 23rd and October 25th.

Apart from that, the Superb BizPitch will also continue with its usual practices in providing mentorship, training and access to undertake capital for further funding.

Winners will be given up to RM500,000 grant money and the chance to commercialise their products and take their business to the next level.

In 2014, 15 applicants won the grant and one of the winner was actually a repeated participant who had made a comeback with a different and more innovation business idea.

Previously, a BizPitch tour was organised as Teraju went all over the country to meet with participants that would pitch their business ideas to a committee made up of locally-based agencies around the country in six regional locations.

Among the criteria for the application are Bumiputera, aged 18 to 40 or companies with 60 per cent Bumiputra management operating for at least three years.

Those interested can obtain the application forms at http://www.teraju.gov.my/skim-usahawan-permulaan-bumiputera/ or call 03-78398000, 082-311686 or 082-312649.
