GEORGETOWN — March 26, 2017: Another eight PAS divisions in Penang have followed Permatang Pauh and Bayan Baru in wanting the central leadership to cut ties with PKR.

The eight are Nibong Tebal, Bukit Bendera, Balik Pulau, Jelutong, Kepala Batas, Tasek Gelugor, Bukit Mertajam and Bukit Gelugor.

The party’s state information chief Mohd. Yusni Mat Piah said the motion was put forward at the annual general meeting of the divisions and adopted unanimously.

Yusni expects the remaining three divisions — Tanjung, Bagan and Batu Kawan — to decide similarly when the divisions have their meetings next week.

The motion is expected to be tabled at the party’s annual assembly from April 29 to May 1 in Kedah. — Bernama
