KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 2018 : Members of the public are invited to take part in the ‘Sila Lari, Jangan Duduk’ Fun Run 2018 to be held on Nov 4 at Padang Merbok here.

Organised by news portal Twentytwo13 with the support of Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur Athletics Association (FTKLAA), the 5km fun run was meant to get more people to participate in an active lifestyle and encourage families and friends to spend time together in a healthy and happy environment.

Part of the profit towards FTKLAA’s development fund.

“As a journalist for close to 20 years, I have always had a soft spot for development as I started my career covering the school sports and saw many athletes who graduated to become champions,” said Twentytwo13 editor Haresh Deol, adding that more could be done for sports development in the country.

“As such, we have spoken to FTKLAA and pledged a percentage of any profit towards its development kitty. Hopefully, this will be an example to others to contribute for the grassroots,”

New FTKLAA president Datuk S. Vegiyathuman said he expects runners to flock to the run due to its unique name and well-designed medals and T-shirts.

“It is FTKLAA’s responsibility to help any organiser who respects the rules and regulations in a run. It is our duty to promote athletics and runs,” he said.

The entry fee is RM50. To register, visit or FTKLAA’s Facebook page.
