SEREMBAN — Sept. 12, 2019: The Mawar Medical Centre here has been reopened since yesterday after being closed since mid-January for violating service conditions.
The centre received a letter from the health ministry yesterday allowing it to reopen and has a new management in place, with Datuk Lee Tian Hock as chairman and Professor Emeritus Datuk Seri Dr. V. Satiadass as chief executive officer.
The centre has 30 beds, 44 haemodialysis machines and eight specialists and a staff complement of 230.
“With the approval, MMC can now accept patients for treatment. We promise to give the best service to patients to restore public confidence.
“To the staff, I want them to give 100 percent commitment to their job so that we can restore MMC’s glory,” Lee said at a press conference today.
The centre’s licence was revoked by the ministry on Jan. 15 after it was found to have violated conditions under the Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act. — Bernama
