PETALING JAYA — Jan. 15, 2020: The Registrar of Societies has lifted its suspension of the Malaysian Trade Unions Congress which it imposed last December 19.

MTUC said the suspension was lifted because the RoS was satisfied with its explanation on complaints lodged last July by several individuals, who were unhappy with the management of the organisation.

In a letter to MTUC received yesterday, the RoS informed that it would not deregister MTUC.

MTUC president Datuk Abdul Halim Mansor and secretary-general J. Solomon said they are pleased the RoS had made a quick decision, adding that the the decision proves that MTUC had acted responsibly.

RoS also instructed MTUC to issue relevant notifications as soon as possible to hold its triennial delegates conference.
