IPOH, Oct 28 2018 : The unofficial decision of the Perak Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) election so far sees Rafizi Ramli ahead of incumbent Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali in the contest to become the next PKR deputy president.
State PKR information chief Senator Siti Aisah Shaik Ismail said the unofficial results showed that Rafizi had obtained 6,785 votes while Azmin, who is the Economic Affairs Minister, received 4,484 votes after all 24 divisions had completed the poll yesterday.
PKR election committee chairman Datuk Rashid Din said it will only finalise the decision for all 24 divisions after the doubtful votes box was opened.
Previously Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, the Federal Territories, Negri Sembilan and Perlis went for Rafizi while Azmin dominated Penang, Johor, Kedah and was also ahead in Selangor.
The second day of the election in Kedah involving Jerai, Merbok, Sungai Petani, Padang Serai and Kulim-Bandar Baharu saw Azmin ahead by 2,606 votes compared to Rafizi’s 2,080 after an unofficial count. – Bernama
