KUALA LUMPUR — Dec. 30, 2019: After three cops recently lodged a report alleging that there were assaulted by a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission officer during investigations at the MACC Shah Alam office, the agency in turn lodged a report against them claiming their allegation to be false.

The report by the MACC was confirmed today by its chief commissioner Latheefa Koya, who said the agency has zero tolerance of any custodial abuse.

The three from the Sungai Buloh narcotics investigation unit were being investigated for alleged extortion of drug suspects. They claimed they were punched, slapped and kicked by an MACC officer when their statements were being recorded some days ago.
