KUALA LUMPUR — Dec. 11, 2019: Police will talk to PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and several others in connection with an allegation that he had sexually assaulted his former researcher.

In the last two days police had recorded statements from the accuser, Muhammed Yusoff Rawther, and had also obtained his statutory declaration on the claim.

The case is being investigated for assault or use of criminal force to a person with intent to outrage the modesty.

On December 7 Yusoff lodged a report with Sentul police, in which he also expressed concern over his safety after receiving threats from unknown persons.

Three days earlier he made a statutory declaration public, alleging that he was sexually assaulted by Anwar on October 2.
