PUTRAJAYA — Jan. 17, 2020: People using the highways under PLUS will be paying less toll from February 1.

The Cabinet also decided last Wednesday that the concession is to be extended by 20 years until 2058 to allow PLUS to undertake proper maintenance and other operational requirements despite the moratorium on a toll increase during the same period.

The highways under PLUS include the North-South Expressway, New Klang Valley Express, North-South Expressway Central Link (Elite), Malaysian Singapore Second Link, East Coast Highway Phase Two, Port-Dickson-Seremban Highway, Butterworth-Kulim Expressway and the Penang Bridge.

A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office today said the government will not pay any compensation to PLUS for lowering toll.
