KUALA LUMPUR — April 15, 2020: PKR women’s chief Haniza Talha has become the second name in the party’s leadership group to be disciplined, following the expulsion last week of Youth vice-chief Mohd. Nazree Mohd. Yunus.
Both are known to be allies of former deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and former vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin, both of whom were sacked from the party and are now ministers in the Perikatan Nasional central government.
Haniza has two weeks to appeal against the suspension that was mentioned in a letter dated April 6.
But in the event she is sacked or leaves the party, there will be another vacancy in the Selangor executive council following the departure of state Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia chief Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari after his party left the Pakatan Harapan coalition.
