KUALA LUMPUR — March 5, 2018: TI Silica Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Terengganu Incorporated Sdn. Bhd., is guaranteed the supply of gas from Petronas for its planned Silica Valley Eco-Industrial Park (TSV) in Marang.

The letter of commitment was presented by Petronas Vice-President/Group General Counsel, Maliki Kamal Mohd. Yasin, to Terengganu State Secretary Datuk Wan Nawawi Wan Ismail at the launch of the Silica Valley by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

“The presentation of the letter paves the way for the conduct of a feasibility study by Petronas and marks a further advancement of commercial negotiations between both parties towards the successful realisation of natural gas supply for the project,” Petronas said in a statement yesterday.

The development of TSV is part of the Terengganu government’s plans to stimulate economic development through a centralised silica and quarts based industry. — Bernama
