According to its LPG business general manager, Ramzulhakim Ramli, the market in the country is still experiencing positive growth compared with other countries.
“We do see growth in the market… last year was 1.5 per cent. Usually growth in the LPG market depends on population growth,” he said after a media briefing on the safe handling of cylinder gas. The company currently has a 50 per cent market.
For the third quarter ending last September 30, Petronas Dagangan’s LPG business recorded a 46 per cent increase in gross profit in line with a five per cent increase in volume.
At the briefing, Petronas Dagangan said it strongly discourages the use of transparent hoses made of plastic as it could easily leak and cause fire. — Bernama
