IPOH — Jan. 10, 2019: A former group chief executive officer of Perak Corporation Berhad was charged today with receiving a bribe of nearly RM500,000 which was paid to build a bungalow. Datuk Aminuddin Md. Desa, 57, pleaded not guilty.
He was charged with obtaining money to build a bungalow in Hulu Kinta without consideration from Uni-Poh Construction Works director Chua Kim Weng.
Aminuddin allegedly committed the offence between January 17 and July 3, 2017.
Judge Indra Nehru allowed Aminuddin bail of RM15,000 in one surety and ordered him to surrender his passport to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission and fixed February 22 for mention. — Bernama
