GEORGE TOWN — March 1, 2020: PAS spiritual leader Datuk Hashim Jasin is in favour of snap elections if the political crisis continues even after the swearing-in of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as prime minister today.

Hashim said this is to return to the people the choice to pick a leader they want, adding that PAS accepts Muhyiddin’s appointment.

He will attend a meeting at the party headquarters in Kuala Lumpur later today to discuss developments.

Muhyiddin’s appointment as Malaysia’s 8th PM has been disputed by former PM Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and his supporters from Pakatan Harapan, now an opposition bloc.
