LARUT — March 27, 2016: PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang has reminded party members to stay away from people involved in the “Mahathir Declaration” to avoid negative practices which can cause chaos.

In relation to this, Hadi points out that change must be done democratically and without racial tension.

“We also do not want outside interference and should be very careful in all our dealings,” Hadi said after a PAS function in Batu Kurau here.

Asked if PAS would face difficulties in the next general election because party members were leaving to join Parti Amanah Negara, Hadi disagreed that this was not the case as only less than one per cent of PAS members had done so.

Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who quit Umno recently, subsequently teamed up with opposition politicians and pro-opposition activists to come up with the Mahathir Declaration that calls for the ousting of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak. — Bernama
