KUALA LUMPUR — March 3, 2020: Pakatan Harapan’s Adly Zahari has finally accepted the fact that he is no longer the Melaka chief minister.
In his Facebook post, Adly reaffirmed yesterday’s news report that the governor had rejected his request to dissolve the state assembly.
“Yesterday I met with TYT Tun; for the information of all I have been told my tenure ended at 4pm yesterday.
“On orders from above, this was the message delivered to me,” the Bukit Katil assemblyman wrote.
Adly met Tun Mohd. Khalil Yaakob yesterday following the country’s political realignment which resulted in Pakatan Harapan being ousted as the government.
Adly was then told to resign as he no longer enjoyed the majority support in the state assembly.
Pakatan now has only nine seats in the 28-seat assembly.
