PETALING JAYA – July 23, 2018: Those with grouses against the government are invited to sign an online petition demanding leaders of the Pakatan Harapan ruling coalition step up their governance.
The petition which will be accessible tomorrow from 8am through The Third Force blog will also be detailing a list of hiccups committed by the government after Pakatan won the 14th general elections on May 9.
It will be opened for three weeks, after which it will be submitted to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, said one of the creators of the petition, Raggie Jessy of the watchdog movement, Malaysiaku Tanahairku. He didn’t say why it would be submitted to the king, a constitutional monarch.
According to Jessy, the list of complaints will be broken up into several themes such as the failure of enforcement action and justice since the new government came into power.
His take on enforcement failure includes the apparent non-action on his report to the police alleging that the Malaysian-Anti Corruption Commission and former Bank Negara governor Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz may have been involved in a conspiracy to tarnish the image former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
Jessy further mentioned about the possible unlawful appointment of MACC chief commissioner Datuk Shukri Abdull following his decision a few years ago to go on early retirement.
