PETALING JAYA – January 28, 2019: Have you ever dreamed of working for Grab but wanted to be more than just the e-ride hailing company’s driver? If you have, then long no more as Grab is now hiring and they have 400 vacancies to fill.
These up-for-Grab positions – which include software engineers, data scientists, customer support and creative designers, to name a few – were unveiled following the launch of the company’s Regional Centre of Excellence (RCoE) and its R&D Centre at its office here today.
“Now that we have grown beyond ride-hailing to become the leading Southeast Asia’s every day super app, it is natural for us to contribute back to the country where we started,” said Sean Goh, country director of Grab Malaysia.
Three hundred of the recruits will handle regional matters while the rest will handle local affairs. Those who are interested to apply can visit their website.
According to Goh, the two centres are Grab’s response to the government’s call for public-private partnerships to help drive Malaysia’s Industry 4.0 blueprint and digital economy ambitions.
Present at the launch was Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Ignatious Darell Leiking, who sees Grab as having all the values that the government needs in cultivating Malaysian tech companies.
