KUALA LUMPUR — Aug. 27, 2019: After 58 days and calling 57 witnesses, the prosecution today closed its case against former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak for several charges of misappropriation of RM42 million from SRC International Sdn. Bhd.
The last witness to take the stand was Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission senior assistant commissioner Rosli Husain..
Attorney-General Tommy Thomas informed Justice Mohd. Nazlan Mohd. Ghazalithe court that the prosecution will offer 66 witnesses to the defence should defence be called.
During the trial the prosecution tendered more than 750 exhibits including documents relating to Najib’s bank accounts, documents of cash transactions, minutes of meetings and telephone chats over Najib’s transactions. — Bernama
