KUALA LUMPUR, June 16 2020: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin have been declared clear of cancer.
The Prime Minister’s Office in a statement today said, “With regards to Tan Sri Muhyiddin’s health conditions, as reported in the media previously, several medical experts have confirmed that there is no evidence of cancer currently and there is no evidence of the recurring of the disease, and therefore the prime minister is medically fit to carry out his duties.”
The statement was accompanied by a medical report dated June 12 issued by a Dr Lai Kam Seng of the Pantai Medical Centre that stated Muhyiddin as being cancer-free.
Muhyiddin was diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas in 2018 that required him to undergo chemotherapy treatment.
He had in July that year took medical leave in order to have the tumour removed at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore before returning back to work a month later.
