KUALA LUMPUR — Nov. 14, 2018: The mother of the late minister the late Tan Sri Dr. Jamaludin Jarjis today filed a statement of defence against the claim for jointly acquired matrimonial property submitted by his widow.
Lawyer Nur Hidayah A. Bakar, representing Jamaluddin’s mother Aminah Abdullah said after this the team will file an affidavit-in-reply to the preliminary objection from Puan Sri Dr. Kalsom Ismail and her four children against his mother’s application to obtain the faraid certificate on his estate.
Only Jamaludin’s step-brother, Mohamad Najeb Ali, was seen in court while Aminah, Kalsom and her children were absent.
On March 2, Aminah, 84, filed an application to obtain the certificate on her son’s estate estimated at more than RM2 billion.
Jamaludin was killed on April 4, 2015, after the helicopter he was travelling in from Pekan to here crashed in Semenyih. — Bernama
