KUALA LUMPUR, July 20 2020: The government’s medium to long-term economic recovery plan will be revealed by October.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in charge of the economy Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said the recovery plan will address the challenges facing the nation and offers economic reform measures.
He said among the core issues to be tackled under the plan are labour market reforms, the issue of quality investments and digital economy.
“Hopefully we will be able to announce a number of major reforms,” said Mustapa in his keynote address at Bursa Malaysia’s Invest Malaysia 2020 virtual conference today.
He said the past four months had been challenging due to the Covid-19 pandemic and its economic impact was the worst ever to hit Malaysia.
