MCE Holdings’ share up after securing Proton contract

KUALA LUMPUR, July 12 2018 : MCE Holdings Bhd’s share price on Bursa Malaysia advanced this morning, hours after the company announced its newly-secured second contract from Proton Holdings Bhd.

At 9.39 am, the stock rose 2.5 sen to 70 sen with 3,900 shares changing hands.

MCE Holdings said the nine-year contract, to supply various electronic and mechatronic components and parts for new Proton models, would generate total revenue of RM105 million for the group over the nine-year period.

An estimated RM800,000 is expected to be invested in the project, it said, adding the contract would commence in the fourth quarter of the financial year ending July 31, 2018. – Bernama
