PUTRAJAYA — May 13, 2019: Commercial Crime director Datuk Mazlan Mansor has been promoted to deputy inspector-general of police effective May 9 to take over from Tan Sri Noor Rashid Ibrahim who retired on March 17.

Mazlan, 58, received his appointment letter from Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at the ministry today in the presence of IGP Datuk Seri Abdul Hamid Bador.

Muhyiddin said that with a credible leadership, hopefully the police will be able to gain the people’s confidence and also boost its image as a highly regarded and respected enforcement agency.

Mazlan also served as Melaka and Selangor police chief.
