Mat Sabu’s former aide being investigated for bribery

PUTRAJAYA — July 8, 2020: A former aide to former defence minister Mohamad Sabu has been detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission relating to possible bribery in a defence project worth RM56 million.

Magistrate Shah Wira Abdul Halim decided on a six-day remand.

It is learnt that cash in various currencies worth RM71,729 has been seized and that discussions on the project had taken place in August last year.
