KUALA LUMPUR — Feb. 10, 2020: A man who worked in Macau and had visited mainland China before returning home this month is the 18th person to be diagnosed with the coronavirus in Malaysia.

After feeling unwell on February 3 the man sought treatment at a clinic the following day and three days later was referred to Banting Hospital.

The 31-year-old was initially diagnosed with pneumonia and Severe Acute Respiratory Infection before being referred to Sungai Buloh Hospital, where he was certified positive yesterday.

Health Services director-general Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said the Selangor health department and the Kuala Langat health office have been directed to trace the man’s movements prior to this.
