SHAH ALAM — Dec. 26, 2018: The president of the Malaysian Malay Network Organisation or JMM, Datuk Azwanddin Hamzah, was detained in Datuk Keramat, Kuala Lumpur, early this morning for a speech he mad at a rally in Klang yesterday.
One of the threats Azwanddin was alleged to have made was to asked the crowd to attack a police station if the those involved in the death of fireman Muhammad Adib Mohd. Kassim were not arrested. Adib died three weeks after being attacked by rioters in an incident at the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in USJ 25, Seafield.
The ‘Justice For You Adib and Sack Waytha Moothy’ rally was organised by Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia (Geras) at Dataran Seni, Klang, yesterday.
Geras chairman Abu Bakar Mohamed expressed disappointment at Azwanddin’s speech as he had earlier informed the latter that the rally was not supposed to bring provocation to race, religion or any organisation. — Bernama
