Don’t let BN go into the longkang

In his latest posting,

TV3, NST … Do not demonize Dr M to defend Najib

Rocky cautioned the media handlers of PM DS Najib Razak that they “may be making the same grave mistakes as Pak Lah’s aides had done a decade ago.”

I’m glad that Rocky gave that advice because as a prominent blogger, it may count for something.

The PM’s media handlers may actually listen to him.

I had actually tried giving such advice quite a number of time in the past.

But of course, who am I to advise the smart PM’s media handlers and brilliant big time pro-BN editors on how to do their job.

I’m after all just an insignificant anonymous blogger.

I actually gave those advices not expecting it to be read by those important people.

Sorts of more like putting it on record for my self satisfaction.

My thoughts were that maybe later on I can say, “Hey, at least I tried.”

Of all the postings of that nature which I did, this is probably the one I tried my best,

Stupid media strategy leads BN into the longkang

The post was dated March 5, last year.

In that post, I even made suggestions on how BN can improve its handling of the media so that the coalition will not ends up in the drain.

The reason why I tried my best while writing that post was because of the person I talked to as mentioned.

Here are excerpts of that post concerning that person:

1. The other day, a very very high ranking Barisan Nasional leader admitted to me that the coalition had indeed lost the fight to win the heart and mind of the people in the run up to the 13th General Election.

2. This BN leader, who is actually one of the good guys also acknowledged that the coalition’s media handlers and practitioners had failed to come up with a winning strategy, enabling Pakatan’s propaganda to dominate the cyberspace and even to a certain extent, the mainstream media.

3. The funny thing was that, that good BN guy knows all these things yet he doesn’t seem to know why it’s like that and what to do about it.

4. The high ranking BN leader actually asked me what should be done.

I wish I can tell you all who is that “very very high ranking Barisan Nasional leader”, but I’m not at liberty to do so.

Anyway, no point telling you all as you will either be very shocked or would not believe me if I tell you who he is.
