KLANG — Feb. 25, 2019: Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad feels that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) needs time to investigate the allegation that PAS had received RM90 million from 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) as the agency may not have obtained all the details yet.

“The MACC statement that there is so far no trace of RM90 million entering the official accounts of PAS from 1MDB may be because the MACC has yet to obtain the full details.… it (the investigation) will take time,” he said to reporters here today after the opening of the Metrod Holdings plant.

Mahathir further said the MACC is looking into more allegations against former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Yesterday, MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Shukri Avdull confirmed that its investigations since the beginning of the month had found no evidence of any transaction between PAS and 1MDB. — Bernama
