KUALA LUMPUR — Jan. 14, 2020: Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad has made clear that he is ready to quit if this is decided by the Pakatan Harapan presidential council.
“I think this will be decided by all four parties together, whether they want me to go or not to go. As far as I’m concerned, if they want me to go, I’ll go now,” remarked Mahathir after speaking at a forum today.
His reaction came after several PKR MPs proposed that he handed over the post to their party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in May.
Previously Mahathir had said that he would hand over to Anwar after the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meeting to be hosted by Malaysia in November.
