MACC spent 8 hours at FGV HQ

KUALA LUMPUR — June 8, 2017: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) took eight hours today to collect documents at the office of Felda Global Ventures (FGV) Chief Executive Officer Datuk Zakaria Arshad at Menara Felda regarding the issue of payment to a subsidiary.

The 25-member team arrived at the building at 10 am and left with several boxes and bags of documents.

It is understood that MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Operations) Datuk Azam Baki will issue a statement on the documentation process soon.

Yesterday, Zakaria went to the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya  to give evidence, arriving with several documents in connection with FGV.

On Tuesday,  Zakaria and three senior executives of FGV and a subsidiary were ordered by the board to go on leave with immediate effect.

Besides Zakaria, the others were Chief Financial Officer of FGV Group Ahmad Tifli Mohd Talha, Senior General Manager of Delima Oil Products Sdn Bhd Kamarzaman Karim and Chief Executive Officer of FGV Trading Ahmad Salman Omar.

FGV informed Bursa Malaysia that Zakaria would be on leave while waiting for the outcome of investigations into several business transactions by its subsidiary Delima Oil Products Sdn. Bhd.

He was appointed CEO on April 1 last year. — Bernama
