KUALA LUMPUR — August 17, 2017: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission today searched the office of Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) chairman Tan Sri Isa Abdul Samad here over the investigation into cases related to Felda Investment Corporation (FIC).

Isa, previously the chairman of Felda and Felda Global Ventures, is being remanded after he was arrested on Tuesday over the probe. FIC is a subsidiary of Felda.

“The investigating officers are working hard and we will determine whether any other action needs to be taken. I do not want to comment further,” said MACC chief commissioner Datuk Dzulkifli Ahmad after witnessing the taking of an anti-corruption pledge at the International Islamic University.

The agency had earlier searched Isa’s homes in Negri Sembilan and Selangor.

Last month, the MACC opened an investigation into the FIC’s purchases of a hotel in London’s Kensington and another in Kuching. — Bernama
