KUALA LUMPUR – February 27, 2018: PNB 118, which will be Malaysia’s tallest building when completed in 2020, will house luxurious hotel brand Park Hyatt on its top floors.
This follows today’s agreement signed by PNB Merdeka Ventures Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Permodalan Nasional Berhad, and Hyatt Hotels & Resorts.
Set to welcome guests in 2021, the hotel will take up the top 17 floors of PNB 118, featuring 232 rooms which will include 28 suites and 30 serviced apartments.
Facilities include 20,000 square feet of meeting space, a sky bar and restaurant, spa, fitness centre and a pool.
Park Hyatt hotels are currently present in New York, Paris, Dubai, Sydney, Buenos Aires, Tokyo and Seoul.
The agreement was signed by signed by Chief Executive Officer of PNB Merdeka Ventures Tengku Datuk Abdul Aziz Tengku Mahmud and Hyatt Hotels Corporation Group President – Asia Pacific, David Udell.
PNB Group Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar, who was present, said Hyatt Hotels shares PNB’s vision of transforming PNB 118 into a prestigious address.
“By introducing its signature luxury service, we are confident Park Hyatt KL will significantly enhance the appeal of PNB 118 and help make the area the new business and lifestyle district in Kuala Lumpur, ” he said.
PNB 118 will be the tallest building in Southeast Asia and third tallest in the world.
The building will have 100 floors of rentable space, including 80 floors of office space, 12 floors of hotel rooms, 5 floors of hotel residences, a retail business centre and parking for up to 5,000 cars.
PNB Merdeka Ventures has several projects in the pipeline including a retail mall, a 1,000-seater theatre, a ball room and a 3-acre Linear Park.
