Najib asked to leave courtroom during Rosmah’s trial

KUALA LUMPUR — Feb. 6, 2020: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak was today asked to leave the courtroom during the trial of his wife for bribery after the prosecution objected to his presence.

In objecting, prosecutor Ahmad Akram Gharib contended before Justice Mohamed Zaini Mazlan that Najib’s presence should not be allowed as he was a potential witness.

But Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor’s defence team argued that Najib was doing what every good husband would for his wife, adding that Najib was also present yesterday.

Zaini however said he had overlooked Najib’s presence and then asked him to leave, which Najib did without fuss.
