Jose Mourinho hails Dele Alli impact after first game as Tottenham manager

Jose Mourinho commended Dele Alli however said ahard week took its toll on his Spurs players into their 3-2 win at West Ham.
Alli played an instrumental role in Mourinhos first triumph since Tottenham head coach, with come in for criticism when two goals in the hosts left them dangling on at the London Stadium while the group almost blew a 3-0 lead.
But after securing their first away league win since January, Mourinho said that he was pleased to be around a joyful dressing room as Spurs picked up three points from the Premier League for the first time in nearly two months.
It was very, very important, he explained. Eleven months with no audio in the away dressing room. Without joy, without a smile, and they failed this all. I am quite pleased with them, I am quite happy for them.
It was very difficult for all of us to win but my perception is that we were closer to 4-0 than West Ham were around 3-1 but this is the Premier League and also their very first aim changed things a bit. I believe also my gamers paid a tiny bit the price for a week.
This was a week where they arrived back in their national teams, some of them from hard games, a number of them from travelling, to a change of supervisor, and a brand new guy arrives. New training sessions, new thoughts.
The psychological thing that surrounds that, I do not think ever is simple for a soccer player. They work with a coaching team and the next day other people are not there. Its hard to process.
Alli played a part in their moment also, also over played his part making Heung-Min Sons opening goal with a creative assist while lying on the ground around the touchline.
It left Mourinho, who also said hed spoken to Alli personally to attempt and improve his assurance.
He said:I believe Dele was similar to the group. Brilliant for 60 to 65 minutes and he also paid the cost of the fatigue so he went a bit down. But I believe he was the Dele Alli. The Dele Alli of a couple of years back that impressed not only England but the world.
He did exactly what I needed him to perform. In just two weeks of data, some action and work. I tried to make it obvious for him the distances where we wanted him defensively with, offensively and to play. Intelligent football player to understand what we desired and crucial for the group. Very pleased with his performance.
Defeat for West Ham made it eight Premier League games without a win for Manuel Pellegrinis side from the Premier League, dropping them further to the half and contributing throughout the second half.
The supervisor refused to be drawn to the performance of goalkeeper Roberto, that could have done better with just two of Spurs three goals on the day on the rear of several bad performances, but admitted that the pressure was getting into his players due to their conduct of form.
When asked what their biggest problem had been, he said:The very first thing is that were playing under enormous pressure. We know we havent got the results we desired, especially. This was a special game against Tottenham and also we desired to perform it better. We could not.
I believe the staff never gave up until the end. We attempted to draw but a lot of mistakes are being done by us, especially without the ball, and each time that we make a mistake when defending, it is a target.
The director and the players possess the chance to perform nicely, both have the possibility to win matches and have great results, so that you cannot distinguish one from another.
We need to try and win another game. When we have been winning matches, the media asked me the identical question – where are you really planning to finish this year? You attempt to win the next game and find out where you arrive at when the year ends.
