JOHOR BAHRU — Dec. 24, 2018: Johor Umno chief Datuk Hasni Mohammad is confident there won’t be any more resignations by party members in the state, while describing the decision by some Johor Umno elected representatives to leave the party as irresponsible.
He further described those who have left Umno as weak and looking only at the short-term perspective.
“Those who leave the struggle have no principles. I wonder how they even got into Umno,” Hasni said here last night.
Soon after the general elections on May 9, three Johor Umno assemblymen — Rasman Ithnain (Sedili), Rosleli Jahari (Johor Lama) and Alwiyah Talib (Endau) — left to join Pribumi Bersatu.
Recently six MPs also left Umno, a few days after five from Sabah did the same. — Bernama
