KUALA LUMPUR – May 31, 2018: Former secretary-general of the Treasury Tan Sri Mohd. Irwan Serigar Abdullah is no longer a board member of Lembaga Tabung Haji after he was relieved of his position at the former.
In a statement today, Tabung Haji said Irwan Serigar had been a board member since 2011 by virtue of his position at the Treasury.
The vacancy will be filled by Irwan Siregar’s successor at the Treasury.
Earlier this week, Bank Negara Malaysia also announced that Irwan Serigar was no longer on its board for the same reason.
Irwan Serigar was transferred out of his position on May 14 after the new Pakatan Harapan government decided to cut short his contract which was supposed to extend on March 6 next year.
