KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 2020: Amanah today announced that Datuk Husam Musa has resigned from his position as the party’s vice-president.
The party’s strategic communications chief Khalid Samad said Husam’s application to resign was approved by the party Sept 6.
Khalid said Husam is now to focus on Amanah’s efforts in his home state Kelantan and as the advisor of the party’s election, communication and strategy bureaus.
He also stressed that Husam did not resign from his post due to dissatisfaction with the party’s president and leadership as previously reported.
Husam joined Amanah in August 2016 after he was sacked from PAS for criticising party president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang over allegations of co-operation Umno.
