KUALA LUMPUR – December 19, 2017: A motor vehicle online portal has reported that sales have gone up compared to last year.
Quoting data released by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) yesterday, Paultan.org said that 521,907 cars have been sold so far this year, giving an increase of 1.3 per cent or 6,655 more compared to the same period last year.
As for last month, 49,184 vehicles were sold, marking an increase of 0.2 per cent or 89 units more compared to November last year.
MAA had stated that the strong sale as the approaches its end is because of year-end festive sales promotions.
The continuation of these deals, coupled with aggressive campaigns by motor companies, is expected to lead to an even stronger performance this month.
Contributing to the total is the new Perodua Myvi, with bookings surpassing 20,000 units in just three weeks after its launch, of which 4,500 have been delivered.
