Business chamber to enhance ties

KUALA LUMPUR – April 20, 2015: The Malaysian-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry has reaffirmed its commitment to reinforce the trade relationship between the two countries.

According to its president Pierre Cheyron, the chamber is very focused in its objective of contributing to the development of trade and investment.

Recently 450 people from major French companies in Malaysia and their Malaysian collaborators and partners gathered at a dinner here to mark the chamber’s 25th anniversary.

“Over the years, the chamber has built up a full range of support services to the development of the French presence in Malaysia.

“We are currently assisting an average of 150 companies per year in Malaysia,” said Cheyron.

At the dinner, the chamber gave recognition to French companies and individuals from various sectors for their achievements and contributions to the Malaysian-French business community by presenting them with excellence awards.

The awards are aimed at encouraging continuous improvement, innovation and creativity by French and Malaysia companies and individuals to enhance their competitiveness.
