Freeze on MM2H applications pending review

Written by TheMole

KUALA LUMPUR — Aug. 4, 2020: The Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme is to be frozen temporarily to allow for a review, in line with controls on the entry of foreigners due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

A state from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac) said that among the matters to be studied are the conditions, incentives and comparisons with similar programmes elsewhere.

Until the evaluation is completed, Motac, as coordinator of the programme, will be unable to process new applications.

Foreigners can also refer to Malaysian Immigration for information on obtaining an alternative permit to reside here in the longer term.
