SHAH ALAM — Dec. 13, 2017: An elderly couple and their two grandsons who were thought to have died in a fire in Tanjung Sepat, Sepang, today are believed to have been murdered and their bodies torched.
This was after police noticed stab wounds on three of the bodies.
Firemen found the bodies of Chia Tee Nang, 73, his wife Lim Mai Shak, 68, and their grandsons and cousins Ryan Chia, 9, and Chia Yuan Bin, 3, after putting out the fire which destroyed a single-storey wooden house.
It is learned that another grandson, aged 12, fled the house and was taken to hospital.
Selangor Criminal Investigation chief SAC Fadzil Ahmat said preliminary investigation revealed that there was an element of foul play.
According to Bernama, state Fire and Rescue director Azmi Osman, who was at the scene, said the bodies of the couple were found in the living room while those of the boys were recovered from two bedrooms.
Kuala Langat police chief Supt. Azizan Tukiman said the boy who escaped is the older brother of Ryan. He is traumatised and is being treated.
