KUALA LUMPUR — Jan. 23, 2020: The former managing director of Malaysia Airlines, Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman, died late last night at a private hospital aged 86.

Aziz, a lawyer by training, was made CEO and managing director of MAS in 1982 and left in 1992

His daughter Anita Azrina posted at Facebook that her father, who suffered from esophagus cancer, died in his sleep at 11.51 pm.

Prayers were held at the Saidina Umar Mosque in Bukit Damansara this morning before burial at the Bukit Kiara cemetery.
