Ex-DAP grassroots leader praises Najib

KUALA LUMPUR – March 22, 2017: A former DAP grassroots leader has described Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak as the best prime minister of the country throughout his years with the opposition party.

Tuan Tan Tat, was quoted by the Malaysian Digest as saying that the performance of Najib’s administration has surpassed even that of Malaysia’s longest serving premier, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

“I know that many people disapprove of Najib now, but as a member of the opposition for 18 years, the current Prime Minister is the best Prime Minister. Which other Prime Minister managed to sustain the stock market at an all-time high?” Tuan insisted.

“When we talk about the economy, Malaysia is among the best in the world right now. Additionally, based on the ratings by Moody’s and S&P, Malaysia achieved A- ratings under Najib’s administration.

“That is already good. Compared to Mahathir’s time, we only managed a B rating. Not a lot of people realise this,” said the former Selangor DAP publicity secretary.

He stressed that the people should not allow the opposition led by DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang to run the country and instead continue to put their trust in Barisan Nasional (BN).

“I have been with the opposition for 18 years, and I do not like their politics. That is why I resigned from my position in DAP. After I resigned, they said I was sacked.

“DAP is the first party in in the universe which attempt to sack people who have already resigned,” he said.

Touching further on Malaysia’s economic success under Najib’s leadership, Tuan said that Malaysia will continue to prosper if the opposition does not tarnish the country’s image at the global stage.

“If the opposition also helps in uplifting Malaysia’s name at the global stage instead of going overseas and tarnishing the country’s image, Malaysia’s economy will continue to prosper.

“Regarding the depreciation of the Ringgit, it is not caused by problems in Malaysia. This is a global problem. Singapore is also experiencing the same thing. So, why are they saying Malaysia’s economy is slowing down?” he asked.

He said the people need to open their minds and broaden their views in evaluating all accusations and allegations made by the opposition towards the government.

“We cannot allow those idiots to run the country.

“What the opposition accuse the government of, the people need to think whether the accusation is rational or not.

“In my opinion, the opposition is jealous of the success achieved by the Prime Minister,” he said.
