KUALA LUMPUR — April 10, 2019: Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor was back in court today to face a new charge over the solar hybrid project for rural schools in Sarawak, this time for allegedly accepting gratification of RM5 million from Jepak Holdings Sdn. Bhd. for helping it to secure the project.
She pleaded not guilty after being charged for the third time relating to the project.
Today’s charge brings to 20 the number of charges against Rosmah, with 12 being for money laundering, five for failing to declare her income to the Inland Revenue Board and three for soliciting and accepting gratification for the project.
According to the latest charge, Rosmah was alleged to have corruptly accepted for herself RM5 million from one Saidi Abang Samsudin through Rizal Mansor, as gratification. She allegedly committed the offence at her house here on December 20, 2016.
Last October 4, 2018, Rosmah pleaded not guilty to the money laundering charges involving RM7,097,750, and five counts for failing to declare her income to the IRB. — Bernama
